Short first-person horror game

Something In The Well is a free adventure title coming from an indie developer who goes by ito. It's a first-person horror game that has players explore a dark and creepy backwoods countryside. Something sinister is prowling in the night, and they will need to find the source.

Nightvision

Something In The Well takes you back to June 25, 1983, in the backwoods of Montana. Something stirs that night and doesn't feel quite right. Experienced through a unique pitch-black perspective and limited visibility, you set out to explore the surrounding area to find the source of the disturbance.

You'll start from your house and make your way outside equipped with nothing but a flashlight and night vision goggles. A playthrough will last between five to 10 minutes, which is on the short side. However, there are two possible endings for you to unlock to encourage a replay.

From a distinct perspective

Something In The Well is yet another solid but short first-person horror game with plenty of creepy and atmospheric vibes to experience. What makes it really stand out is its unique perspective through the lens of night vision goggles. It's a neat effect and adds to the tension—a nice touch. Give it a try now.

PROS

  • Unique night vision perspective
  • Creepy and atmospheric
  • Two possible endings
